Role:

Project Description
As Executive Producer, I produced this event from concept to execution in under three weeks. The ARAM Mayhem Night was a collaboration between League of Legends and Brain Dead Studios, the LA-based media and lifestyle brand, designed to bring League’s community-driven gameplay into a live, physical setting.
The format centered on back-to-back custom ARAM matches where creator captains drafted players from the live audience. The defining feature: attendees submitted champion balance changes via QR code between rounds, and League developers implemented them in real time. The result was controlled chaos, with 444 balance changes submitted and over 40 unique adjustments made live during the show. Over 50 audience members played on stage across the evening.

Impact
The event proved a new model for player-first experiential programming: intimate scale, high interactivity, and genuine creative collaboration. It sold out in under 24 hours with a waitlist that nearly matched capacity. The live balance patching concept originated as a proof of concept at Worlds 2025 Fan Fest in Chengdu and was fully realized here, creating a format that is both replicable and distinctly tied to League’s identity. For Brain Dead Studios, it extended their crossover into gaming culture. For Riot, it demonstrated that community events do not need arena scale to generate real connection and cultural impact.
